What’s up, Hive? I spent the entire evening at @caffetto with @guthrie. He had a minor run in with another student today and didn’t feel up to kickboxing, so we made it a coffee shop day. I was able to catch up on some work, lay more ground work for Mirrorpool and find some space to write tonight’s blog. He went home around 7:15p.m. and I stayed till midnight. The endless of cycles of oranges and Sabra pretzels and hummus […the only real food @caffetto sells], followed by coffee. Hopefully for all of you, but for me as well. Hive is such a great incentive for me to edit. If I get 2 - 3 photos processed and retouched, I’m able to make a blog post […I’ve always been strict on myself that I won’t do shit posts]. These new images are from a shoot I did last September at Lovely Organic Apothecary in South Minneapolis. The dress was something straight out of Sleepy Hallow or Crimson Peak. As usual, candles lit most of these images, especially once we were back inside the boutique. Armed with my new Nikon Z6II, low light wasn’t a problem and I was able to capture some of the darkest pinup shots I’ve taken in years. Kelly took great direction as she’s a very experienced model. Some of the collaborations I’ve had with Farah from Lovely are my favorite creative endeavors and I have more images to come from our recent morte shoot. I have some meetings tomorrow on Mirrorpool structure and upcoming projects, but overall, I’m in a really good place creatively right now. Have a great night!
