Hope is not merely a thinking that suggest that things MAY get better, it is more than that. Hope is what keeps us alive in times of adversity. However, the way we perceive the word matters. I know of people who perceive hope as only a possibility of something happening. There is a 50% chance that it may or may not work. Whenever I use the word hope I am aware that hope, at least to me, means that it WILL get better, things will work. Ask yourself what exactly is hope to you.

Hope was what kept me going when I had no job while the rest of my friends were getting good jobs. Hope was what kept me going when I wanted to give up. Hope was the voice in my head that told me “hey there, these are happening for a reason. Months or years down you will thank me for these. Things are in fact getting better but you are unable to see it now, be patience, tighten the seat belt and enjoy the downs of the roller coaster.” 

Hope is not telling me that there is light at the end of the tunnel. It is the light to me. The light that I use to pass through the once dark and scary tunnel that is now lighted due to the presence of hope. It is more than just a light, which brightens the tunnel. It is the light that carries with it a belief that the downs are there to bring me up. This light and belief is me, I am hope, I am filled of hope, the light is within me. All you need to do is realize that hope and use it wisely. Be aware whenever you say, “I hope things become better.” In that sentence, what does hope imply? Hope is amazing but it can also be just a word due to your perception and interpretation of the word. You are the hope. The hope that you outsource to whoever is actually in you. You are filled with it. Recognize it and use it my friend.
