**Who is the real sock puppet here?** http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-hVZO3fEMBQ0/UGRgGQlqmwI/AAAAAAAABx8/CxelaSD2bZk/s1600/Sockpuppets.jpeg This post is in reply to yet another harassment post made by @bacchist and @ats-david Before I start, I want to say how disappointed I am on those who have been buying into this crap, they post few screen shots, circle few obvious stuff and all of a sudden you guys draw a conclusion. They keep beating around the bush, but don’t say exactly what it is that I have done wrong, it's all beef with no meat. You guys need to realize the bigger picture, I am the straw man, it's a smear campaign”, sponsored by Ned. They are using me to scare all of you into submission of identification. It's a scare tactic. “This is what will happen to you if you don’t ID when the time comes, If you try to stay anonymous, if you create more than one account, even though it’s a fee based feature, you will be harassed, you will be treated, etc. etc.. Read on, you will see what I mean. All the “facts” they have presented is all system functions, creating accounts, promoting accounts, sharing links, voting”. The only thing I get from their posts is that I did not pre announce that those accounts were created by me.. Sorry, I will give the public heads up everytime I create a new account from now on… ← That was sarcasm btw, I drafted this reply post when @bacchist first made his post, but chose not to post it since it is not good for this platform, hence my bottom line. Matter of fact, If I was the competition, I would do exactly what @bacchist and @ats.david are doing to discredit the platform. However, since Ned seems to be supporting their posts, I might as well go ahead and post it. Lets dissect their posts, starting with @bacchist. I am not going to do this every time this sock puppets thinks he has something worthwhile to post. Not that @bacchist have any credibility left and why people even take him serious, boggles my mind, but I hope this post will put the last nail on the coffin. Twice, I had to put this dick nosed monkey sock puppet (the avatar is so fitting) in his place for making public accusation based on… well I am not even sure what I am being accused of or if the accusation even has any merit. Twice, I had to sink to his level and clarify a few things in steemit.chat, which I should have recorded on the Steem blockchain instead, publicly, so his scrutiny wouldn't be confined only within steemit.chat. **The thing is, none of this is the public's business; that is to say, who I promote, work with or am friends with** First time this sock puppet was able to see that the account Lakers created two accounts and immediately made a public “OFF WITH HIS HEAD!!!” comments, after clarifying that I’ve created those accounts for two writers that I introduced to steemit, he PMs me with an apology. http://i.imgur.com/DWqTO2k.png To give some background on the writers. I met Ray ( @lifeisawsome ) in Breakout coin Slack where he would share his Huffington Post articles. I am sure he can provide links to his huff posts if you ask him. However, world wide audience and followers and community interaction he has received from steemit does not compare, to paraphrase him. He was skeptical at first, but I am sure he is more confident with his posts and technical aspects of steem/steemit by now. Honeyscribe is a very close friend of Ray and a very nice person that I’ve come to know, that I also decided to help promote her work. (I can’t believe I am even having to disclose all this ...) The second time he accused of me of actually writing those posts using those accounts. Though I am flattered by that comment. This sock puppet has done it again, made another public post with wild accusation, harassing the writers, demanding ID verification from the writers, etc. etc. This lead to illuminaughti contacting honeyscribe on facebook to confirm if the account/writer was legitimate and she confirmed within steemit.chat that it was. “illuminaughti 4:56 AM Hi all, I've spoken to honeyscribe on facebook, she's a real person who is concerned about her privacy. I hope this lays this issue to rest” Though I did not get a private or public apology from the sock puppet this time around. Now you would think that at this point he would quite right? That he had lost all credibility? WRONG!!! Round 3, Again, he made a public post (https://steemit.com/sockpuppets/@bacchist/take-two-and-action) because he found a “discrepancy” when I made a brief introduction comment about @lifeisawsome. I spoke with Lia in regards to his comment, he laughed it off, rightfully and explained. Its not my place to answer for him, you can ask him on Steemit or steemit.chat which he has joined. **Sock Puppet:** “A couple weeks ago, I posted a controversial piece about a certain whale who had been gaming the system, possibly with the help of a few of his whale buddies.” **If gaming the system is helping to promote my buddies’ work, then I am guilty. If helping to promote friends’ and families’ work is a bad thing, then I am a bad guy and, dare I say it, even vote on their posts myself. If you think I put all my time and effort to grow my investment on this platform and not help friends and family, then you are delusional.** **Sock Puppet:** “There was a lot of activity on the Rocket.Chat, as he floundered to explain his early support of @msgivings, a well known account whose plagiarism was exposed. Eventually, after nearly two hours of simply claiming no knowledge of his early votes on @msgivings posts, he made a claim which was vaguely plausible but not disprovable at the time... I was forced to redact my post. “ **I am not going to touch this one. Don’t even try to pin this account on me since there is nothing to pin. But you can die trying. Good tactic on associating the negativity of that account with me by bringing it up regardless of irrelevance, even though your last comment was that you “redact your post” in regards to it.** **In your post you mention @msgivings and all the plagiarized work, which he might of done and as far as I remember, I flagged a post of his after it was brought to my attention slack/steem.chat. But, what's sneaky of you is that you listed @lifeisawesome and @honeyscribe right after mentioning @msgivings in your post, without any accusations of their wrong doing. In short, what you are doing is making them appear to be guilty by association. Nice tactic.** **Sock Puppet:** “The @lakers account was mined using the same active key as another account, @salus. Both @salus and @kushed withdrew funds to the same Bittrex account:” **Not sure where he is going with this one. It was already stated that Lakers is mine. It also should be obvious that Salus is mine as well since Salus logo is the avatar I use on Slack, Steemit.chat and BCT.. Are we not allowed to create more than 1 account?** **Wtf, why even bring this up? Hows this even relevant? Oh I get it, because, screenshots.. ;) gothcya, people like screenshot, they automatically think it means something.** **Sock Puppet followed up by asking everyone to stop voting for me as a witness. From the looks of it his *paid* fluff piece worked.** http://i.imgur.com/0F75NZN.png The thing is, I am not even a top witness, I am a backup witness, and my chances of hitting a block is just as good as any other backup, regardless of rank. So downvote all you want. My witness node will keep running till it’s no longer profitable to do so. Fuck it, let's flip this around... **ANYONE THAT VOTES FOR WITNESS KUSHED, I WILL FOLLOW YOU AND VOTE ON YOUR POSTS.** (as long as it's not plagiarized or anything) _____________________________________________________________ By now most of you are probably curious as to why I have been referring to him as a ***“Sock puppet”***. Well, I did some “detective” work of my own and it turns out that the puppet master is none other than Ned, CEO of Steemit, the official sponsor or “Harass Steemit user's Movement” http://i.imgur.com/Y6lTGfQ.png For “consulting”... Right!. Ned you misspelled harassing. and http://i.imgur.com/3bvmPdz.png Now, I don’t want to make a definite conclusion from this, it might of been for “real consulting”, you know, to better the platform (ha!). But if public posts are being made about me based on assumptions and presented as a fact of whatever wrongdoing (still not clear on this) then I should be able to do the same. And here is another one, when the Sock Puppet made his last post “take-two-and-action”. http://i.imgur.com/Zi1xXOy.png Looks like the puppet master is supporting his sock puppet with his farm of sock accounts by upvoting that post. I could be wrong, but since we are assuming and blaming, I will do the same. _________________________________________________________________________ Steemitabuse-classic is a great channel and serves a good purpose as far as detecting plagiarized and such posts. But it has been hijacked with others who choose to use the channel's good name to harass others, pressuring them into providing ID or prove that the article wasn’t written by an AI, etc... As far as I know, Steemit is working on implementing ID verification system, and I am sure there will be an incentive for users to do so. As it’s apparent there are users who are ok with this, but also a big majority will choose to stay anonymous and seek/create another Interface to Steem or go with a competing platform that will offer it as a choice and dare I say, even encouraged. However, if you are one of those that will choose to stay anonymous, then you are considered to be “Shit” by Steemit CEO himself. So, till that's official and rolled in. Stop the harassment and the witch-hunt. This is not good for the platform. Then again, this puppet is probably getting used (without even knowing) in to harassing people, to let the community know what to expect when the day comes and they don't go through the ID verification system. I am not even against having a platform that supports and incentivises those who choose to partake in it. It’s your platform and if a portion of the user base chooses to ID themselves, then great. But harassment and witch-hunt is not the way to go. ___________________________________________________________________ Prior to all the sock puppets’ post, I was approached by members of Curie project in order to donate my voting weight to the project, which I agreed to and still plan on doing so, even stop powering down to have better effect. I always helped this platform where I could, as ***I care for my investment***. I want this platform to grow and be a success, since I have a financial incentive to do so. The posts of exploiting the system by a (small) whale does not look good, help anyone, especially the platform. Now, if you think I am somehow exploiting the system, then Dan should thank me, make a post about it and hopefully fix the exploit. Just as he did to supercomputing for finding an exploit and going as far as saying that earned rewards from the exploit are well deserved. Socket Puppet: “Implicated accounts have drained the reward pool of over $70k at a time where the price of Steem is declining and legitimate authors are unable to make any money at all.” ^ thats a nice big number you pulled out of your ass based on false assumptions. But I can play this game too… Lets look at how much money Dan (dantheman) drained from the reward pool every time he took a puff from the magic dragon and had an epiphany moment https://steemit.com/@dantheman Now the “legitimate authors are unable to make any money at all.” Also the dumping keeps coming non-stop… And while Dan is “draining the reward pool” and dumping on all of you and calling it “crowdfunding”, the competition, Synereo just burned $140 Million worth of amp in order to increase the value of their platform and the investment of their users. https://steemit.com/synereo/@tee-em/breaking-news-synereo-amps-burnt-to-the-tune-of As far as @ats-davids posts goes, its a complete regurgitation of @bacchist’s post with the exception of @perspective and as far as that account goes, I presented a list of mined accounts and that name struck as a good one . When someone I know asks me for a Steem account, I create one for them without asking what it will be used for. It’s their business and not my place to ask. But, since you people don’t want to mind your own business, here is @honeys posts in regards to it. https://steemit.com/identity/@honeyscribe/of-sock-puppets-and-witch-hunts Matter of fact, I even made this process easy. I was not going to announce this yet, still in beta, but I’ve had website created for various Steem account related services. At the moment only Account creation service is available, still in beta, so you are all welcome to test it. Will also be adding account auction, High SP account Auction, anon posting (in the sense that I claim not to be tracking IPs as I do not know Steemit’s policy on that) with improved markdown editor and Savings related services. http://www.steemaccounts.com/ The thing is, if I want to exploit the system, I can do it with ease, in the open, without breaking any laws, and the only law that could govern and dictate my actions would have to be in the code. I can easily make a post saying that I will upvote anyone's post if they send me a single SBD and I guarantee you I can make at the least, few hundred a day and I am being generous here. I might even look into that article writing AI or by other means, if I am pushed enough. I’ve been here since day one, I was a top witness at the beginning, I’ve been around when witness needed to be on call 24/7 since we were forking every other day back then, I lost a lot of sleep and spent all my time and effort on Steem/it. At one point, like most of us, even stopped paying attention to my own project, I was dedicating all my time to promote Steemit. Nowadays, witnesses have it easy, most of the kinks have been worked out and mostly it's on autopilot. As far as witnesses go, and someone who deserves to be one but has been forced out, is @nextgencrypto, who I still consider to be the #1 contributor out of all witnesses and has brought a lot of new users to the platform via the services he had created. Don’t get me wrong, some have done incredible work and deserve credit, but this is my opinion. He was pushed out because he has been vocal about concerns in regards to some major changes prior to July 4th and some minor ones after. In fact, I happened to agree with him on some some of those issues. I don’t need to go into details of all the contributions of his, but Curie project alone should give you an idea. Most of the witnesses are BTS puppets of Dan, with an exception of couple, most are just a “yes” man, and Dan votes for them to ensure his changes will also be accepted by the witness on this “decentralized” network without any objections. And if you happen to disagree with him, then it's, “Fuck off to you.” Most top witnesses are dead weight, but I am glad to see those who actually do contribute make the list, latest addition being Jesta. Too bad we don’t have an archive dump of the original Slack conversation. Maybe for the sake of transparency, the team should release those. Now as far as what I have done for Steem(it).. I’ll make a list of it here for the record, since most of you weren’t around back than when I was a top witness and making contributions as expected from a witness. Yes, I don’t code, but I believe my contributions were just as important as most of you might of found your way to Steemit because of me. During the early days, I started a promo campaign for steemit prior and during official announcement of the platform. During the time when increasing user base was priority #1. Listed below are the things I’ve done and was involved with besides the basic responsibilities of running a witness and a seed node.
