I am a designer from a tiny remote island. I got introduced into Steemit a week ago. Like most of you I believe is the next big think in the social media arena. I have played around with posts and the chat application for quite some time now. I like to meet people through productive conversations so I am presenting 3 suggestions for discuss for making Steemit better.

<h1>Incentives </h1>

Upvotes could be counted in a smaller margin from other sources such as facebook. After an "outsider" upvotes a Steemit post a message could be displaying saying "You helped userx earn money. Join and earn rewards". A small tutorial could guide the new user through the sign up process.

<h1>Competitions</h1>

Users could join "leagues" and compete on given tags about topics. This way we will have different categories trending quite fast. The more versatile the content the more users will join.

<h1>Bots</h1>

Constructive Bots could roam around the savannas of Steemit and upvote random users that are not so popular. This is an additional incentive for later adopters to stick around with Steemit.
