Logan is part of the X-Men series and is said to be Hugh Jackman's final appearance as Wolverine. Unlike almost all other superhero movies (except Deadpool), it's rated R, so expect a lot of very edgy material. The main issue is the extremely strong, bloody comic book violence, including characters being sliced through flesh and skulls, shot, shown in pain, and killed. A young girl is involved in the fights, and there's disturbing footage of children being mistreated in a laboratory setting. Suicide is considered. Language is also really salty, with many uses of "fu-k," "motherf----r," "sh-t," and more. A woman is shown topless, and the main character drinks frequently the possibility that he's an alcoholic (or a "junkie") is discussed. Despite the mature material, the movie which explores the importance of family is quite powerful and is a high point in the superhero genre. Expect teens to be very eager to see it.

The film is directed by James Mangold, director of the previous installment "The Wolverine" (2013). Mangold is a New York film director and screenwriter who debuted with Heavy (1995), a drama with which he won two awards at the Festival de Gijón and Best Director at the Sundance Festival, a feat for a debutante. His next projects were Copland (1997), a thriller about police corruption starring Sylvester Stallone, and Girl, Interrupted (1999), a biopic based on real facts played by Winona Ryder and Angelina Jolie, who was awarded an Oscar Best Supporting Actress. Two years later he directed Kate and Leopold (2001), a film in which singer Sting played the soundtrack, who managed to be nominated in the Oscar in the best song section. After this work, Mangold opted for a horror thriller entitled Identity (2003), a film starring John Cusack that takes place during a night of storm between 10 strangers, who do not know that everyone shares a data and that a murderer goes for them . After this film directed the musical biopic Walk the Line (2005), centered on the country singer Johnny Cash and his wife and companion June Carter. The film is starring Joaquin Phoenix, Reese Witherspoon, winning the latter Oscar as best actress. In addition the film got a total of five nominations and a large number of erpemios in different film festivals. In his next work, Mangold, dared with a western, it is about 3:10 to Yuma (2007), a remake of the homonymous tape of 1957 directed by Delmer Daves. Three years later he directed Knight and Day (2010), an action-adventure film starring Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz. In addition to directing the second installment of the saga of Lobezno, Mangold, he directed the pilot episode for the series "NYC 22" (2012) and "Vegas" (2012).

**WHAT'S THE STORY?**
it's the year 2029, and Logan (Hugh Jackman) the mutant superhero once known as Wolverine isn't what he once was. His healing powers are ebbing, everything is harder for him, and he's in constant pain. He hides out in a desert compound with the now-90-something Professor Xavier (Patrick Stewart), who suffers from chronic psychic fits, and albino mutant Caliban (Stephen Merchant). Their superhero days are over, and no new mutants have appeared in years. Then a woman arrives, asking Logan to look after a young girl named Laura (Dafne Keen) and take her to a safe place in North Dakota. Along the way (possible spoiler alert!), Logan learns that the girl is actually his daughter, created in a horrific lab experiment using his DNA. And the men who created her are coming.
