So, we've seen some big developments in the last stages of 2017. Ethereum edged ever closer to the symbolic 1K mark, and XRP has made a huge move to become the second largest cryptocurrency by market cap.

What trends will we begin to see take shape in 2018? This is the year we will see projects with real utility consolidate power and control. Projects and coins that solve problems, make life easier ​and save valuable time for those invested.

CoinMarketCap currently lists 1,385 cryptos that are in circulation. 1,385! Are you kidding me?

Think about it... Will the common person be able to understand 5-10 cryptos and what they do, much less 1000?! Average Joe will understand coins and projects that solve real problems that they face on a daily basis.

Some coins that I've seen that do REAL things are FUN (virtual casino licensing on the blockchain), CVC (Identity Management at Scale), and ENJ (Gaming Token that solves multiple problems with hacking and virtual purchases in-game). These are just a couple of the projects that I expect to explode in 2018.

What are your thoughts? Am I insane for thinking that many of these coins will all but disappear?
