Well, here it is Laura once again with a night out (for a change). I like this community to share with you my nights eating and drinking in different places in my city, but this time we went a little far and of course I also had to tell. And this time we come to a bar quite different from the ones I've been to before and it's an ice bar (literally). If they said bar then it had to be there 😅.

In December of last year my friend Sofia and I decided to take a little trip to close the year. Looking for offers online we found a fairly cheap package to the province of Córdoba and we thought it would be a good idea to go. We already knew part of the province of Córdoba, but we were sure that many more places would be waiting for us. And so it was: one of them was this particular business that included an "ice bar" 😃.

I had never been to a place like this so I was very excited to go. Our excursion package already included this entry, but it was still not expensive: 1500 ARS (7.5 USD approx) for a unique experience does not seem like that much money. When we entered, an instructor gave us a safety talk and the waiting room was already quite cold, not to generate a great thermal shock in our bodies ⭐️.

Once the explanatory talk was over, where they told us that due to temperature issues we were not going to be able to spend more than half an hour inside the cold room at -4°C, they made us put on warm North Pole-style suits. These suits were insulating and really warm, I was already looking forward to them because in the previous room I already felt quite bare in fact 😂.

<em>Una vez terminada la charla explicativa, en donde nos avisaron que por una cuestión de temperaturas no íbamos a poder pasar más de media hora dentro de la cámara frigorífica a -4°C, nos hicieron ponernos unos trajes abrigados estilo polo norte. Estos trajes eran aislantes y de verdad calentitos, ya estaba ansiando que me lo den porque en la sala anterior ya me sentía bastante desabrigada de hecho 😂.</em>

When we walked into the bar, it was literally a big icebox with snow all around it. They served us drinks in ice glasses, and a couple of minutes later we were frozen. Perhaps for those who live in cold areas -4°C is nothing, but for me, who is not used to it, it was too much. I tried to warm my throat a little but to no avail: after the suggested half hour I was already feeling quite cold, despite the fact that several of our companions wanted to stay a while longer. At least I was able to have some drinks in the frozen glasses, that was something innovative and I thought it was a good complement to the bar 😅.

<em>Cuando entramos al bar, literalmente era una gran heladera con nieve alrededor. Nos sirvieron tragos en vasos de hielo, y un par de minutos después ya estabamos congelados. Quizás para aquellos que viven en zonas frías -4°C no es nada, pero para mí que no estoy acostumbrada fue demasiado. Intenté calentar mi garganta un poco pero no hubo caso: después de la media hora sugerida ya estaba teniendo bastante frío, a pesar de que varios de nuestros compañeros querían quedarse un rato más. Por lo menos pude tomar unas bebidas en los vasos congelados, eso fue algo innovador y me pareció bien complementario al bar 😅.</em>

Like any bar, they played music and we danced a bit, also to try to recover some body heat. I also want to clarify that under that layer I had summer clothes since it was indeed summer, so I did what I could and endured as long as I could. In any case, I was delighted to discover this bar for nothing like the ones I had seen before. If you have a place like this close to home, I absolutely recommend it, but dress warm! 😅

También quiero aclarar que bajo esa capa yo tenía ropa de verano ya que efectivamente era verano, así que hice lo que pude y aguanté hasta donde aguanté. Si tienen algún lugar como estos cerca de sus casas, se los recomiendo absolutamente, ¡pero vayan abrigados! 😅</em>
