In the photo there is an earthworm and its eggs. Eggs are similar to a lemon-colored berry. The size of the egg is about 5mm. Earthworms create mink in the soil (depth not less than 60-80 cm, large species - up to 8 m), contributing to its aeration, moistening and mixing. Worms move through the soil, pushing particles or swallowing them. During the rain, earthworms come to the surface, as they have dermal respiration and begin to suffer from a lack of oxygen in the wetland. If you knock on the soil or near a surface, you can drive the worms to the surface, as they will think that it's raining. Small specimens are used as live bait in amateur fishing. Cultivation of earthworms allows to process various types of organic waste in a quality environmentally friendly fertilizer - biohumus. My worms eat everything - cabbage, watermelon crusts, corn cobs, scraps of various vegetables, walnut shells (but only well-decomposed).
