This temple is located in eastern part of Nepal in a Bijaypur, Dharan. It goes by the name "Budhasubba Temple". The temple is built in pagoda style and is a famous pilgrimage for Nepalese. Since India is somewhat nearer to this place, I have seen Indian families coming here in their vehicle to worship. One of the unique feature of this temple is the tip-less bamboo. It is believed that Budha Subba went on hunting with his sister and accidentally his slingshot hit a bamboo while aiming for a crow. The bamboo lost its tip and it never grew back from that point. Also, crows never returned to these areas. Its somewhat fascinating. Usually at other temples where animals are sacrificed, crows are always there flying in hope of getting the meat. But here even though sacrifices are made, crows are nowhere to be seen. The temple where it stands today, it is believed that Budha Subba meditated there after that slingshot incident. This temple is also popular for lover and couple. People come here to tie the threads. It is believed that by doing so, these lover can get married in real life and live a happy life. Previously people used to write their name in bamboo but later it was prohibited as it was considered detrimental to the bamboo plant.
