I'm a little late with my 'introduce yourself' post (I am still learning and finding my way around). My name is Lauren, I'm 23 and from a county called Essex in England.<br> </p> <p>I'm a great lover of music (I would be lost without it), Bon Jovi being my all time favourite! He is just amaZING. I'm open minded though, and will give most things a try. I enjoy dancing, which obviously goes well with music of course! Both are just soul touching, like a language that is felt rather than heard.<br> </p> <p>I enjoy photography (not that I do much of it but I am one of those people that like to capture pretty much everything and try to be creative!) Haha! I would say I am quite opinionated but not one to force feed so to speak. I enjoy listening to others views on various topics and learning new things too. That's one of the reasons I decided to join the community, I have seen some great stuff already and am really enjoying it. I am a passionate person, and believe it is very important in all aspects of life.<br> </p> <p>I work as a carer in a nursing home with hopes of gaining a nursing degree in the coming years. It is a hard job at times but it is extremely rewarding, and certainly puts things into perspective. I enjoy what I do and absolutely love learning about people, and who they are underneath what can sometimes be a hard exterior. I think for some of us we do put those barriers up, perhaps too high or not enough, either way, I think @Steemit is a great place for us all to share our thoughts and ideas, and to have as a safe haven. It's always great meeting new people!<br> </p> <p>This is what my blog is about - life's quirks, a place to 'let off steam' (couldn't resist that one, a fine example of how bad my humour can get lol) and to discuss/share a variety of ideas. I LOVE all things quirky, you know those moments that just make you think 'whaaaat?!' to those that leave you inspired and ready to conquer the world (or the next day at least haha!) so anything goes! I have done some travelling (though mainly to South Africa) so I will be posting some stuff about those visits and future adventures! It really is a beautiful place! I have already posted a couple of things (though not related to travel) about what I find interesting in this big wide and sometimes crazy world!
