Another year, another anniversary... Maybe there are fewer people on the chain, but we are still here... Pushing "our story", supporting those who need support, not just monetary, but with kind words too... It's hard there for newbies, but it's hard for the "mid-class" on HIVE, too... Taking us for an example, we have our doubts, maybe different than some newbie, but they are still doubts... Despite that, we are continuing our HIVE journey, trying to contribute as much as we can... **One way we support the chain is by running a full node for exactly 2 years!!!**

Yes, it's been 2 years since we spun our Hive witness node!!! It was like yesterday, when I recorded a video of our [1-year celebration](https://peakd.com/witness/@liotes/liotes-hive-witness-update--1-year-anniversary), and here we are 2 years later! 

Hive blockchain became "lighter", which means that you can run the node even from a Raspberry Pi if you want, but we stayed committed to the "professional" approach... Unfortunately, we have missed 1 block in these 2 years, and mostly because of my (@ph1102) "noob mistake"... After changing the config file, I forgot to reboot the script... 🤦‍♀ It happens... As you can see from the screenshot below, our uptime is still 99.999% which can't be 100% since we had to do the node upgrades at least 2-3 times...

to everyone who supported us, and continues to help us with their vote of confidence!! A year ago, we were in 76th place, and today, we are at 65th! For some, it doesn't look like too big a jump, but for us, it means a lot! Especially since we didn't spam people through DMs, transaction memos, and anything else... All votes are genuine votes from people who recognized our work ON and FOR HIVE!

In the last year, we gained 50% more HivePower support! Some of it is coming from our @liotes accounts as we didn't power down our witness earnings, and almost all our project accounts are growing... On the other hand, the community around our project is collectively (and HivePower-ly 😃) growing, partly thanks to our initiative to follow people's progress! To incentivize people, we are additionally rewarding people who powered up the most HIVE at the end of the year!

The stats above show the Hive witness support from different cohorts on HIVE... As you can see, we don't have many whales supporting us (yet), but we do have a nice chunk of ordinary Hivians! We are so proud of this! 

What can you expect from Liotes Hive witness for the next year? Well, we hope our missed blocks will stay at 1, and our uptime approaches 100%... Also, we will continue to listen to the community and move our vision accordingly... For that, we regularly use our Liotes Missions that run every Wednesday, and they have become one of the rare places on HIVE where YOUR OPINION is listened to!
