Just by reading the suggestion, I was able to experience the smell of my grandmother's cakes, that cake that had an exquisite flavor, the soft texture and that pastillaje that was not cloying, it was soft, in a few words divine.


That first memory of my childhood came to my mind immediately, my grandmother sometimes made cakes to sell and help the household economy. The whole space of the apartment was impregnated with that smell, between the smell of lemon and vanilla, the immense desire to taste that cake that was left for us was accelerating. My grandmother had a saying: the trimmings are the tailor's, this alluded to the leftovers that remained after emptying the container of cream, there was always that little bit to place in another mold and enjoy that test.

I can say with all certainty that the memory of my childhood is the culinary art of my grandmother, that way of cooking, that smell that stayed for hours in the house, definitely the smell of lasagna, actually those are the tastiest memories of my childhood. Another of my favorite dishes was Christmas food.


I remember being in the kitchen and trying to help my grandmother, my grandmother's patience was great, her care, I remember the sounds of her utensils, the care when turning on the oven and her apron well adjusted so that no accident would happen when she was concentrating on opening and closing the oven, turning on the mixer and everything that had to do with her space in her favorite place.


There are many memories engraved in my memory of that stage of my life with my grandmother, nothing else mattered, only the sweetness of my grandmother mattered, it was truly a magical moment, to close that warm embrace of my grandmother closed with a flourish this sweet moment.
