Hi all,

With my next post in this community I want to share with you some **black and white photographs from around the world** I took in recent years. "This is my entry for the #monomad challenge" all photos are taken with my Canon eos 550D.

Let’s start on the Island of Guadeloupe.

This little lizard was trying to hide, but I found it in the rain forest. After it saw I meant no harm it relaxed 😎

Let’s fly to the next Island: Malta, where I lived 1 year.

In Valletta, the capital, you can find this large fountain. **The Tritons’ Fountain**. 
*” It consists of three bronze Tritons holding up a large basin, balanced on a concentric base built out of concrete and cladded in travertine slabs. 
Designed and constructed between 1952 and 1959, conceived jointly by eminent sculptor Chevalier Vincent Apap and his collaborator draughtsmen Victor Anastasi, the fountain became unofficially operational on Saturday 16 May 1959.”*

Not that much further we reach Italy.

Rome and its landmark Altar of the Fatherland /Altare della Patria. 

Next stop will be Spain.

One of the impressive buildings you find on the corner streets in Barcelona. 

And to finish our trip we arrive in The Netherlands.

This sculpture you can find, in the permanent collection, on the boulevard from Scheveningen, The Hague. The collection is called “Sprookjesbeelden aan Zee” it consists out of 23 sculptures from Tom Otterness. They were placed in 2014. 
I will post more of the collection in a future post 😉
