What if you could mine REAL CRYPTOCURRENCY playing video games?
I think it goes without saying the application possibilities for Smart Media Tokens are bordering on limitless. The most invigorating notion I've got sloshing around in my head right now is the far reaching aspect of SMT in the gaming community.

It's only a matter of (very short) time before gamers and game developers incorporate tradeable blockchain tokens on a gaming platform. I'm surprised we're not seeing it already.

The most obvious application of smart media tokens and crypto coins would be to use them as they would be used naturally--to purchase upgrades, supplies, packages, and boosters in video games. And the games could be anything from family-friendly games like "Hay Day" -- where users grow crops and feed their livestock to earn coins, which in turn helps them to grow a bigger farm, develop the land, and beautify their property.

Or they could be used in more sophisticated games like "Ark," where users require an amount of skill and strategy to develop a home base, tame dinosaurs, forage for food, and make clothing and tools.

>It should be noted that the sexy dinosaur lady I found online is the most accurate depiction of me in real life. ;p

In either scenario, users "level up," they earn coins, and they exchange services and goods among other users. And this is great and all...

But WHAT IF these points, coins, services, goods, and other valuables were actually worth real money?

You would basically get paid for leveling up, or for selling inventory to others.

What if all of the hours you spend taming the T-Rex could be sold to another user using actual cryptocurrency, or tradeable tokens worth real money? Now, instead of feeling like you're kind of squandering your time, you can feel good about the fact that you are earning something of a living!

Forget youtube live. You can play at your leisure, and earn while you do it. And do it on Dtube live! So you earn coins just for being watched as well! Double income earning power.

A super obvious example of this would be WOW. Their in-game currency is worth more than some third-world countries' actual money. And in fact, the upgrades and WoW gold earned on this game can be easily sold for REAL cash.

And if you want to just sell your WOW gold, all you have to do is go to www.playerauctions.com and sell it on the exchange auction. Pretty basic economy. The concept of earning gaming coins and selling for real coins is nothing out of the ordinary. The difference is, rather than earning WOW gold or upgrades and selling them for cash, you'd earn cryptocurrency, and sell it for cash. Or HODL it. Or speculate with it. Or whatever. Who cares? But it would be worth something. What's the difference?

WOW is a real example of how tradeable tokens affect the gaming community at large.

And with cryptocurrency options, you could easily opt in to token sharing, token earning, token trading, etc. So rather than paying real money to buy upgrades that really don't do anything for you in the real world, you could pay the same amount of money to buy TOKENS, that will get you the upgrades you would like, but they will also be worth something on the exchange.

And you could trade it within the game itself as well--and network the game on blockchain servers. I mean, why not?

The possibilities, as I said before, are limitless.

What are YOUR thoughts on the subject?
