Why Hate The Color Pink?
There's this common thing that happens specifically to the girl child. Most parents during gender reveal use pink to reveal a female child and blue for male.

Then why is it that when girls grow to the teenage age, they suddenly start hating the color pink? It doesn't happen to every female child of course. But at least, 8 in 10 kids.

Either suddenly opt to become tomboys (which I am not saying is a bad thing) or they just start acting way more mature than their age.

When I used to teach at this primary school, there was this little girl who couldn't be more than 12 years old at the time. She would often subtly comment that I'm immature, why will a whole grown up be using pink? It's too childish.

I would laugh and be like, "look at this little girl calling me little because I adore the color pink"

But thinking about it on a deeper level, it's a cause for concern. Why do kids no longer behave like kids? I wish they know how short the timing is to be a child. Most adult would go back to being kids if they had a say in the matter.

Moreover, I read somewhere in an article that sometimes, female children grow up with a lot of unhealed wounds and trauma resulting in them hating the color pink.

Perhaps not necessarily hating but they view it as a color that denoted weakness and vulnerability.

And can we blame them? A lot of children were forced to act older than their age by familial pressure. The need to be show that "what a man can do, a woman can do better" and as such she is not allowed to be vulnerable or too emotional else she might be taken for granted.

Although, there are some that adopt this hatred for the color as some sort of "woke" culture.

Regardless of what the reason might be, I wish more female kids would know that it's okay to love the color pink, it doesn't make them look immature or stupid.

Well, this is just a reflection. Perhaps someday, the woke culture will migrate into making girls feel safe enough to embrace their softness again.
