Our value is how others see us, not the value we give to ourselves. Most of us think that we are important, but others might see us as invaluable or ordinary. Some people value character, others status, and some value beauty. Before trying to impress people with what you think you have, you might first want to consider their preferences. You don’t apply to a job ad that says ” Masters Degree preferred ” if your qualifications don’t fit their requirements right? Don’t hate people if you don’t fit their preferences. If you want them to like you, why not change yourself? If you don’t want to change yourself, don’t force them to change preferences, you’re the one who wants to be liked, and it’s not the other way around. Changing ourselves doesn’t guarantee that we will be liked. There are so many factors that people consider before liking someone or something. So Instead, what you must do is find the right people who will value you for who you are. A carabao is valuable in the countryside but not in the city. Mangoes are delicious but not for Lions. If you think that no one around you honestly values you for who you are, you might want to consider evaluating yourself. Are we giving too much recognition to ourselves more than we deserve? I know a few rich, conceited people who think that they should always be respected and liked. But as I have told you, not all people value wealth. If he is around rich humble people, those people will not like him. A pretty girl I know always asks me why guys always leave her. The problem is her attitude, she is bossy and thinks that she is God’s gift to Man. You are valuable to your parents because you are their child, but you are not valuable to the couple living next door. Instead, let us be humble see reality, accept it, and change for the better. We can only improve ourselves and live a happy life if we accept reality.
