As the title states, i am currently attempting to setup my own steem node. I get the feeling that during the compiling of steemd its downloading the blockchain as ive been stuck at 60% for almost half an hour now.

Any tips or pointers you feel would be of benefit, please add them in the comments, thank you.

Already worked out that i need ubuntu 16.4.1 64bit, after trying 3x 32bit distros.
