¿Adivinen quién sigue leyendo hasta las 3 de la mañana cada noche? Claramente soy yo. Creo que exitosamente he terminado con ese bloqueo de lector que tenía, leer ya se siente como antes y eso me hace muy feliz. Puesto que, actualmente, leer es lo único que me salva de no caer en la depresión y calma mi ansiedad. Es por ello que, siguiendo con la saga “De sangre y cenizas” de Jennifer L. Armentrout, vamos a hablar del libro 2, pero antes les recuerdo que la reseña del libro 1 está aquí.

Si leyeron mi post anterior, sabrán que al final del libro 1, “Hawke” se revela ante Poppy como Casteel Da’Neer, el príncipe de Atlantia y básicamente el señor oscuro. Poppy evidentemente se encuentra traicionada y muy enojada, más aún cuando Casteel le dice que la llevará hacia Atlantia para casarse. Y después de muchas páginas de peleas, Poppy acepta la propuesta, con el objetivo de liberar a su hermano Ian de la capital, al igual que Casteel la necesita para salvar a su hermano Malik.

> If you read my previous post, you'll know that at the end of book 1, "Hawke" reveals himself to Poppy as Casteel Da'Neer, the prince of Atlantia and basically the dark lord. Poppy evidently finds herself betrayed and very angry, even more so when Casteel tells her that he will take her to Atlantia to marry. And after many pages of fighting, Poppy accepts the proposal, with the goal of freeing her brother Ian from the capital, just as Casteel needs her to save his brother Malik.

En el proceso que Casteel le va revelando todas las verdades sobre los ascendidos, sobre la reina, sobre la capital y básicamente todo lo que Poppy conoce resulta que no es cierto. Cabe destacar que todo esto ocurre entre el libro 1 y 2. Pero algo que sí me gustó del libro es sobre el cambio de vida de Poppy, que ahora realmente estaba viviendo, estaba conociendo e interactuando. Poppy como personaje principal no me ha disgustado nada, es fuerte, valiente y sabe lo que quiere, por lo que su avance es bastante bueno cada vez más.

It's worth noting that this all happens between book 1 and 2. But one thing I did like about the book is about Poppy's life change, that now she was really living, she was getting to know and interacting. Poppy as a main character I didn't dislike at all, she is strong, brave and knows what she wants, so her progress is pretty good more and more.

No recuerdo si les mencioné que Poppy tiene sangre Atlantiana, pero eso pasa en el libro 1, por lo que sus poderes, por así decirlo, se hacen cada vez más fuertes. Eso también influye en su temperamento, y como no, en sus encuentros con Casteel. Ahora bien, hablemos de Cas, para mí es lo mejor que tiene esta historia. Es fuerte, apasionado y muy divertido de leer, por lo que la relación de ambos es muy apasionada. Cuando se casan, a pesar de estar prácticamente en guerra, es muy bonito, y al final, cuando ya sus diferencias se arreglan y son puro amor, me derretía a cada segundo.

> I don't remember if I mentioned to you that Poppy has Atlantean blood, but that happens in book 1, so her powers, so to speak, get stronger and stronger. That also influences her temperament, and of course, her encounters with Casteel. Now then, let's talk about Cas, for me he is the best thing about this story. He is strong, passionate and very fun to read, so passionate is their relationship. When they get married, despite being practically at war, it's very nice, and at the end, when their differences are already fixed and they are pure love, I was melting every second.

Digamos que al final este dúo y sus acompañantes llegan a su destino, Atlantia, donde las cosas comienzan a ponerse turbias. La llegada es algo tranquila, pero luego de un rato un grupo de personas pretende matar a Poppy, es ahí donde se revela su verdadera naturaleza. Poppy es descendiente directa de los antiguos dioses, cosa que nadie se esperaba y es justo ahí donde todo termina. Un final abierto que te invita rápidamente a encontrar el próximo libro para ver cómo continúa la historia, lo cual hice de inmediato y debo decir que cada vez se pone mucho mejor. ¡Pronto les traeré la reseña siguiente de este libro, nos leemos pronto!

> Let's just say that in the end this duo and their companions arrive at their destination, Atlantia, where things start to get messy. The arrival is somewhat uneventful, but after a while a group of people pretend to kill Poppy, that's when her true nature is revealed. Poppy is a direct descendant of the ancient gods, which no one expected and that's where it all ends. An open ending that quickly invites you to find the next book to see how the story continues, which I did right away and I must say it gets much better and better.
