Hi hivers as you know that DEC not a part of reward pool but we are getting it from many ways and it seems like we are still earning similar amount of dec as much as sps and I know you felt that too. SPS is bigger than dec although dec has it's own value and it's very important to purchase assets from splinterlands. Don't forget DEC is first ever launched coin in splinterlands. DEC is kind of stable coin of splinterlands but it has many usecases.  Right now I am not holding any DEC token and reason behind this is purchases that I have done in splinterlands. I am holding NFT and when I sell those NFT, I will get DEC tokens but if I buy them in cheap and then hold them then it is better because I will get good return in this way.

Anyway DEC is stable coin but it can go up and it's mechanism of DEC. If you are buying cards by DEC just for long term hold then it is not a good idea because DEC is cheaper now and you have to pay more to buy any NFT. But you want cards for playing then it is good to use even DEC but still if you prefer fiat then it's really good for you because crypto market is down and things are chaper.

## These ways you are getting DEC

So DEC is not completely stopped and you are getting it many ways. Here I am going to describe these ways but before let's talk about DEC price. Building a guild is contributing to burn DEC which is good but also Splinterlands purchases helping a lot.

- **Rental income** : Splex is the most popular platform for renting because of his auto features and just set once and it's bot will do everything for you. That is why people taking more interestes in renting. I am also renting my cards and gettting 700 to 750 dec per day without doing anything.

- **Gladius case (guild)**: Building  guild or being a part of guild is really important because you are getting merits and sps as well as DEC too. How you get DEC? So when you spent 2000 merit on guild store you wil get gladius case pack that contain gladius cards. Now holding card will give you collection power as well as it is useful for splinterlands guild brawl gameplay. You can burn extra or all cards for DEC and that is how you can earn DEC tokens.

- **Card selling** : Rewards card is good and some users keep rewards card for future benefits and some users sell it. Selling cards is giving you dec tokens. I am selling my extra cards too.

- **NFT trading** : I have made detailed post on it. It's decent way to earn dec. Simply, you have to do tradng n peakmonsters platform. You can add buy bid on your desired price but make sure you have enough DEC balance in your splinterlands account. Now when your buy bid fill, you will get that splinterlands monster and you can sell it in splinterlands market with profit. You know you can earn 1$ to $15 per card which is really cool and investing here is not a bad idea.

DEC token trade works similarly but it's risky but splinterlands card trading has less risk. Although trading dec tokens on hive engine is not a bad idea. Diversify your portfolio in splinterlands too and you should have some DEC holding as well as other splinterlands asstes.
