Hey there welcome to my blog. Happy Tuesday to all my hiver friends. Today I have to share some information regarding image optimization. It is my habit to visit new hive blogs daily and I also check the images one thing I noticed is that most of the hive bloggers do not use a simple image optimization formula. When I was doing Event blogging work I drove most of the traffic from images by using a simple-image optimization formula.

There is no rocket science and it is very easy to implement. You people familiar with [Google](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-google-company) images and Bing images where people only search images. Sometimes I also search only images when I need some images. For example, I need some hairstyles to see so I will definitely search for different hairstyles on Google images. So this is the most used thing and can drive decent traffic to your blog.

## Driving Traffic Through Images

Renaming the image enables the image to be searchable. I am writing this post and I have two images to add to this post. I just uploaded both photos with default names so there is no chance that these images will come up in the image search. The first rule is your image should be eye-catching and attractive. I mean it should be relevant to the post topic so that the user will click on the image and land on your blog. You should not underestimate this thing because it can drive lots of traffic on your blog.

So if you did the first thing then now you must rename your image with the post topic. When you write the post you should know your keywords. Like in this post, I have multiple keywords such as Image optimization, drive traffic through images, image [SEO](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-search-engine-optimization-seo) ETC.

## Default Image Names And Change

your image default name should be 185300304_441507187470261_.jpg or skfkfjdjkslf.png. You have to rename it with your post keyword. Remember this keyword should be relevant to the image. I mean If you have uploaded a dog's food photo and you are writing "best food for humans" which is completely irrelevant this mistake reduces the chances of clicks. If you want to go on the advanced level then add a caption as well. This way you will rename your image and add a caption in it which means you have completed your image optimization and your images are ready to rock in the [search engine](https://inleo.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-search-engine).

As I said, this is very easy to implement and this particular thing helps [hive](https://leofinance.io/@leoglossary/leoglossary-what-is-hive) to drive some extra traffic so this is not bad at all. I think authors should concentrate on this particular thing so this way they are contributing to the hive platform. Image optimization helped me a lot to earn some extra bucks and that is why I decided to share it here.
