Comida é literalmente ilimitado (por conta das farms), e Madeira, apesar de ter um limite físico no mapa, em 99% dos mapas não é um problema achar uma floresta próxima dos seus Centros da Cidade e em segurança. Porém, ouro é diferente. As minas de ouro são limitadas e estão em locais pré-determinados no mapa. Em pouco tempo de partida, as minas de ouro seguras acabam e o jogador precisa avançar com seus aldeões para áreas perigosas ou, ainda, fazer uma rota de comércio que também é frágil...
