## Day 4 After testing Positive for Covid 19. The symptoms are complicated and vary from day to day and usually appears at night before I head to bed. At the moment, I am on Home Quarantine. Wearing a mask. My wife had her booster shot and is still negative for Covid 19. Definitely get your booster shots. It really helps. The chances of getting Covid 19 is increasing daily due to the opening of borders and countries moving to the endemic stage. The protocol in Malaysia at the moment is for anyone vaccinated, quarantine is about 7 days and for non vaccinated individuals is about 10 days. Then and there after the virus becomes non infectious but the test will still be positive for the next couple of months. So far, I am feeling fine, no fever, only occasionally, getting sticky phlegm or getting my whole nose blocked all of a sudden and then getting it cleared in an hour. I've already had two doses of vaccination a couple of months ago. ____________________________________________________ I've bought a lot of test kits. I am going to review one that I currently am using. Testing Covid 19 from the saliva deep in our throat. The first time I did the test, it felt a bit gross but after a while, I got used to it. The complete instructions  This test from my view is quite fast. It only takes about 15 minutes to see the results. One precaution is that we need to make sure our mouth is clean before doing the test by brushing our teeth first and not eating anything.  ## The test kit  The biohazard bag is used to store everything after the test. ## The first step  The funnel goes with the tube. I have to first make sure to get the phlegm out making some weird sound, then spit inside. After that the funnel is removed. Buffer liquid  Tear the package of the buffer liquid and let it drip into the tube where the saliva is. After the buffer liquid is added to the saliva and the tip added to the tube, squeeze the tube for about 10 to 15 times. Then finally drop one drop of the mixture onto the sample area. Wait for about 15 minutes to get a clear result.  The result  Positive - This time it is much more clearer than the first time I tested myself a couple of days prior. So far, so good. I am still taking precautions and not letting other family members have a chance of contracting the virus. My nephew who is about 5 got infected too and his mom. So far, his symptoms are a bit like getting a fever. Everything is getting disposed.  After the test, everything goes into the biohazard bag for disposal. That how you do the Covid 19 test. When to get a Covid 19 test? If you suddenly cough a lot and finding your nose getting blocked. Anytime, you have flu like symptoms, I think it is better to get tested. This is to protect others around us. If you have a chance to get vaccinated, do go for it. The world is going to open pretty soon and Covid 19 is going to be everywhere. Lockdowns won't help. One of the best things to do is to get more Vitamin C into your system which boost your immune system and try to move about to get your blood moving.
