“Inspiration is for amateurs — the rest of us just show up and get to work. And the belief that things will grow out of the activity itself and that you will, through work, bump into other possibilities and kick open other doors that you would never have dreamt of if you were just sitting around looking for a great ‘art idea’.” - Chuck Close

I’ve been sick for past few days. I feel as if it is huge setback for my physical goals since I’ve not been able to leave my bed and feel extremely weak. I know, I know. I should not get frustrated because of it, the energy will come back, but I want to run wild and free and I want it now.

As frustrating as it can be being sick, medicine is not always the first thing I reach for whenever I get some silly virus [that effectively puts me out of business, dammit]. I boil huge pot of water, throw in all kinds of herbal teas [some I gather myself from meadows during summer time and my own garden like red clover, yarrow, alchemilla, peppermint, chamomile and some I pick up in pharmacy like Icelandic moss tea that is a lifesaver when you have heavy cough], add some natural honey, lemon and ginger, and drink cup after cup to cleanse the body and sweat it out.

What are your recipes for getting back on your feet?
