An Interview With A Pro-Feminism Part II | A Glimpse of Feminism in the East
Introduction
This is one of my quest to understand better about feminism in a patriarchal society. I conduct this interview with two participants (one male and female) and based on their consent. This interview will give you a glimpse of feminism from the eastern part of this world where a woman is traditionally submissive to a man.If you are easily triggered, I strongly advise you to not engage nor read this interview.
Read [my previous interview with the first subject](https://steemit.com/life/@macchiata/an-interview-with-a-pro-feminist-part-i-a-glimpse-of-feminism-in-the-east), a 21 year old female and today my second subject is a 25 years old male.

I think pro-feminism and a feminist are only a label. We should not do that, because I think feminism does not even create a distinction.Let's take it this way : It is not that we have to read a certain book so we can be called gay. I think it's stupid.
In my opinion, feminism is simply an equality in every aspect of our lives ( including politics and social privilege) between men and women. It is true that we have female leaders in our society but I still think they are still an outlier, it's only 1/10 among them. Also, as I see it women are still not given the same chance in several aspects.Furthermore, I think these days people spend too much time trying to prove themselves to be the pious. They also talk more without any real action and political correctness is thrown very easily. I don't think it's really good.

I also think that when our society adapt feminism, that doesn't mean we have to forget the ideology that we have. For example, you can be a muslim and a feminist. I would also add,I am an individual who believes, Islam is not a monolithic religion. I believe it is okay for people to interpret religion whatever they like. If they think that Islam and Feminism are their way of life, I think it's fine even though I am aware there are people who oppose that. My point is that, there is the community which demands a reform in Islamism, like the Protestantism. It's still difficult to be a Muslim and a feminist but I think it's achievable.I also can not say for myself and still unsure because I don't think I am a good Muslim to blatantly claim, a Muslim can be a Feminist.
