Today, I am working with basic brushes and palette knife. I am using mountain as my object to express the current situation in the world. I feel like the gloomy days are upon us and it is going to be a long winter. This first drawing is dedicated to that ambient. A long dark winter days with occasional thunderstorms.  At first, I wanted to paint a blue sky with clouds as how I pictured my morning run/walk. But then, it was raining heavily at my place with thunderstorm showers, so I changed the tone of the painting and the mood. Meanwhile the second one,  I am currently living in a province surrounded by hills and an active volcano mountain. It is beautiful especially during my morning walks when the mountain shows himself. Surrounded by a thin mist, he tried to show us a glimpse of his beauty. But sometimes, we fail to appreciate it and he will go on rampage, spewing ashes and lava as he crosses the villages, river,and cities around him. The second one is interesting because I decided to fully learn using palette knife and purely play with colors. Now, I am much more confident with painting using knife instead regular waterpaint brushes. For the note, you can find these work in my twitter and personal instagram account. ~ Mac original work
