Romans 5:1 (KJV)
*Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:*

Therefore, in this case, the word goes back to, 
Romans 4:23-24 (KJV)
*Now it was not written for his sake alone, that it was imputed to him;
But for us also, to whom it shall be imputed, if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead;*


Having demonstrated that Abraham was justified by faith in God’s promise that God would give him a son (and through that son, a Saviour) the next word is that this was not written for Abraham alone but for all of us who believe on the God who raised Jesus from the dead. 
**Therefore we also are justified by faith and
Therefore we also have peace with God through Jesus Christ.**
