Acts 26:20 (KJV)
*But shewed first unto them of Damascus, and at Jerusalem, and throughout all the coasts of Judaea, and then to the Gentiles, that they should repent and turn to God, and do works meet for repentance.*

Whether Paul’s ministry had him with the Jews or the Gentiles he preached the same message:
**They should repent
They should turn to God and
They should do works meet for repentance**
 
I believe these are in the correct order. 
**Repent**
An acknowledgment, confession of the condition of the fallen man
**Turn to God** 
In faith placing faith in Him and trusting Him alone to repair the breach caused by sin.
**Works meet for repentance**
Repentance acknowledges the condition. These works come after and demonstrate the change that God has made in us.
