Today was uncomfortable. I woke up after sleeping just a few hours and couldn't get back to sleep for some time. Once I finally did get back to sleep, I was out until almost four in the afternoon. At the coffee shop, after hearing about the latest nonsense going on in my household, @tarotbyfergus suggested that I should just move to Sarajevo with him. I'm seriously considering it.

This household stuff is reaching a boiling point. Today, one of my uncles informed me that he'd had a new prospective roommate over to see the place. I found this problematic, since we'd previously agreed that I'd be part of the new roommate selection process. When I asked him why he'd broken this agreement, he avoided the issue and acted like I was in the wrong for even bringing it up. This was not an isolated incident. It was part of a toxic pattern that's been totally stressing me out.

Elsewhere in my life, I need a new computer and new shoes, but I'm afraid to spend the money in case I have to move. Since my computer is my job, I'll probably get a new laptop anyway, despite the anxiety. I've been looking at the LG Gram, but they only seem to come with Windows 10 Home and I need Professional. Upgrading the OS is no big deal, but it is annoying and costs money. I may end up going with something that would work right out of the box.

The shoes I want are exact replacements for my favorite pair of walking shoes ever. The Born brand [Brompton](https://www.bornshoes.com/Product.aspx?ProductID=12820). Most shoes are like little prisons for the feet. Not the Brompton. The Brompton is comfortable and ultralight. They aren't as durable as I'd prefer. Worn daily in varietal environments, a pair lasts for about three years. At $60 a pair, that's about $20 a year for comfortable footwear. This seems like a good value for the money to me.

Today was my day off so I did little work. I started an article about WAX but that's about it. Later, I'll try and add to my current novel. The main character is currently at a coffee shop talking about a subject that hasn't yet been determined.

There isn't much to do on Rstory for the moment. I'm taking some time off of trying to write the video script. And I'll be talking about the project on a friend's podcast in the near future. But mostly I'm just waiting for potential conferral recipients to get back to me.

I don't really want to move to Sarajevo, though I wouldn't mind visiting. What I really want is for my household to become less stressful. I feel like I'm doing my part to make it so. The rest isn't really up to me.
