*This is a blog revolving around our journey to save for a van and then our new life on the road - join us for the ride!*

**21st Feb 2019 - Part 4**

So today I will be sharing the caravans we have been looking at and the one we have chosen! now this is open to change as for the last 2 years of saving our mind has changed back and forth alot! but we are pretty damn sure this is the one now..

So the first type we looked at are the same as the top picture (but new!) these are the types you often see on the roads - also known as "wobbly white boxes" - Now these are really nice inside these days and have all the mod cons including central heading, fridges, cookers, microwaves the lot!

the problem is they are build in huge number by undervalued workers paid by the job and as such they are built to a poor standard with poor materials to keep the weight down (so more people can tow them with restricted licences like me. (can only tow a total of 3500KG car and trailer combined weight)

This cool little caravan is a T@B 320, a very quirky tear-drop caravan. These are build it much lower numbers and the quality is higher than the wobbly white boxes! - the interior is built using better materials and there is no joint in the roof (so less chance of water ingress) This was a contender and still is in some way - however we found something that suited us better....

This my friends is an Eriba troll! and this is what we have settled on! The design and shape of this caravan has not changed since the 1960s because it just works so well! it was designed by two german designers with a background in aerospace. This caravan has several features that makes it unique from its retro styling to its poptop roof - but what makes it the one for us is this is the only trailer we can find that has a solid steel skeleton inside...This gives it amazing strength and rigidity for a caravan and should last us far better than any other options.

*in part 5 we will talk about tow cars!*
