The Spanish La liga is ongoing as we speak. Real Madrid, Barcelona and Atletico Madrid are the usual frontrunners for the league title. And they drop points to other teams that much usually so every dropped point puts them behind of their competition.
[Source](https://amp.marca.com/en/football/real-madrid/2021/08/23/6122c683268e3e24788b45e7.html)
But Real Madrid are not in the best of positions as of now. They have an aging squad and no steller players to turn around. Last season they had 60+ injuries to deal with, which landed a serious blow to their title hopes. This season might not be any different. Because the players are same. Yet aged one more year. Only noticable addition is David Alaba and a fit Eden Hazard Real Madrid faced Levante in their 2nd game of the season, which was an away fixture at the Estadio Ciudad de Valencia. It was a thrilling match. Real Madrid came from behind with a brace from Vinicius and somehow managed to grab a 3-3 draw against Levante. Gareth Bale scored the first goal for Real Madrid in the fifth minute of the match which was assisted by Karim Benzema. Carlo Ancelotti's side dominated the rest of the first half but they could not keep that momentum in the 2nd half of the match. Levante scored two goals in a short period time after the start of 2nd half. Ancelotti quickly took off Gareth Bale, Eden Hazard and Isco after conceding two goals. Surely it was a great decision; substitute Vinicius Jr. had the biggest impact on the game. Vinicius Jr. levelled the score in 73 minute of the match with a well-planned finish. But Levante quickly restored their lead in the 79th minute of the game. Vinicius again rescued Real Madrid from losing all three points after scoring in the 85th minute with a stunning shot from a tight angle. Levante goalkeeper Aitor Fernandez was sent off for handling the ball outside the D-box to stop a Real counter attack, defender Ruben Vezo protected the goal for the remaining few minutes of the match. Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti was frustrated with the result. He said that the attitude of his team in the second half was not good at all. Both FC Barcelona and Real Madrid dropped point in their 2nd match of the season. However, Atletico Madrid managed to grab all six points in the first two matches. It will surely come handy in the long run for the defending champions. ---- Best Regards: @mahirabdullah ----
