Greetings, Fellow Amateur Truckers Stuck In A Role! How are your long days and sleepless nights treating you? Me, I had a pretty rough first run on a new route, right after I finished this 'announcement' post: [Part I](https://peakd.com/hive-174578/@manoldonchev/transport-missions-part-i) The sleep was too short, the headaches too constant, the unexpected problems too much for any resemblance of smooth sailing. It took me about three hours longer to finish the mission. Before I continue with adjustments and improvements, I'd like to share a snapshot I took at the edge of the world:

### They say a crisis is an opportunity... The dude that got out of order before I had to step in had kind of made a habit of being extra fast. No time for coffee, no time for a pee on the side of the road, just time enough to smile. Beneath a mask, though. Inside lights not working properly, me being new places and meeting new people, introducing myself and explaining the delays...what's not to hate? Where's the opportunity? Well, the chance to improve. First, the second time I was prepared for the lack of light, I was prepared to make better maneuvers, picking the parking spots better, being more organized, etc. I saved an hour and a half at least on the second run, compared to the first one. Still slower than the fast dude. But today's heck was our software's hardware having quite a lot of trouble working ~~properly~~ at all. It might be the cold, or a specific malfunction concerning that specific unit (I am having it replaced for tomorrow.) Both mornings were extremely beautiful. Both times, no chance to take pictures whenever I wished. And today I had no camera. A mistake, I am going to...I don't know. It's cumbersome in a way and I am kind of reluctant to be leaving it unobserved wherever I go. Perhaps, phone cameras should do... But they won't. I'll just make a photo run someday... But there won't be today's snow or yesterdays Super Moon... Well, what remains but the chance to get better at the role I hate. And I require of other people doing well. ### The greatest opportunity is... Learning what the field looks like up close. Making evil plans about those people who are not happy to see a supplier. Supply chain problems not severe enough, yet. Here's one viewpoint — You get up at 3 AM or so and you start hours before dawn...yet somebody is always ungrateful. Somebody always thinks you are late. For What, ffs?! And your mission is to make those people your friends... Well, the real opportunity is sifting through people and getting to know who are the ones you want to be friends with.
Peace and Cheap Gasoline! (unlikely, though, so do not lay on that hope...)
Also, Take Care! Yours, Manol
