# Who is maple-thunder ?

That's me with a couple new friends I met while on a hike along the Skyline Trail in the Cape Breton Highlands. I'm a new programmer, interested in video games, amateur photography, history, and hiking. I'm not the best at taking pictures, but sometimes you just _gotta try_ and capture the beauty of what you're looking at.

## At home
I live on the east coast of Canada with my girlfriend and cat. They have breakfast together almost **every day**.

## Gotta make a living ...
I work as a PHP/Drupal developer at a small web development company. On weekends (and some evenings) I also try to expand my knowledge of programming by either following tutorials or trying to build out an idea in a side project. Those don't have a great track record of getting finished though.

I will be writing about some of my side projects, and the journey from conception of idea all the way to the (hopeful) completion ! If you're lucky I might also write some posts about some hikes I take with my better half, and pepper some photos throughout the posts. ;)
