 Hi! My name is Mary Ann Laureno, but you can call me @maria1025. I am currently working as an ESL tutor. I'm thrilled to join the Hive Community, a place filled with amazing people who welcome newbies like me without judgment. At first I was hesitant to join because I didn't know much about the platform. However I've decided to challenge myself to explore this world and make the most of this opportunity. As far as I know, there are many members here from different countries, which is one of the reasons I decided to join this group. I believe that reading different blogs from various people will broaden my horizons. Therefore, you can expect that, one of these days, I will be sharing some of my family events and gatherings, and other experiences from my daily life.  I graduated in 2023 with a degree of Bachelor of Secondary Education. I finally got my license as a professional teacher in 2024, but I was not able to teach in a classroom setting. But instead, I currently teaching students of different nationalities, such as Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, and Chinese kids, as an ESL teacher.  I am a mother of three wonderful kids, including a 3-year-old boy. This is the reason why I chose not to work outside our home-because as a mother, I want to provide the best care as possible, and I believe that no one can offer that to them except me.  I have a great love for teaching kids. I cherish their innocence and enjoy watching them learn and grow. I want to share my knowledge not only to my children but to my students as well that will help to their growth and development.  I am the eldest child in my family, with four siblings. I grew up in a family that wasn't financially stabled, but I have no regrets about that. Instead, I used it as a motivation to work harder and smarter to be successful one day. I graduated from high school in 2002 and then went to college.  Unfortunately, I didn't finish college due to some certain circumstances, and a new chapter in my life began. At the age of eighteen, I got pregnant and eventually married my husband. Regrets? At first, yes! I guess that's normal. I feel like the heavens and the earth are crushing me. It took me too long to accept the reality. I need to rise up for my child and the family I'm going to build. I'm so lucky to have a loving husband and to be blessed with three wonderful kids.  In 2019, I decided to go back to school, and fortunately, I made it this time. My graduation day was one of the happiest moments in my whole life.  I've decided to join Hive because I want to explore the world. Since it is impossible for me to travel around the word, so maybe by joining this platform will help me knows more about other countries' cultures, traditions, great people, and beautiful sceneries from around the world. On this platform, I feel that there is a freedom for everyone. Feelings to express their thoughts, feelings, and emotions. In my future posts, I'll be covering various topics like motherhood, personal growth, daily happenings, family events, special occasions, food, different local places, and, of course, my journey as an ESL tutor. I'll try my very best to provide a valuable and informative blog as possible, to inspire other member of this group. I would be very happy if you could spare some time to visit my blogs and feel free to leave a comment. I'd really love to connect with all of you and get to know more the other people from the different parts of the world. Finally, I would like to thank ma'am @antonette for inviting me to join this platform, I have no idea what Hive was, until the day ma'am @antonette introduced this to me.
