**When we first started planning an art festival in a deserted village called Skado in Naxos (GREECE), we had to brainstorm on the theme of the exhibition.** 

My vision was something way modern to bring some contrast to the traditional look of the village. It wasn't an idea necessarily well accepted, since the most likely candidates for the festival would be Naxians, who don't really appreciate modernism or contemporary art.

**My cuz Andriana, an artist herself and very successful designer in London, came up with the idea that our exhibition theme should be _Utopia_.** Indeed, it was a great idea because the whole thing we were trying to achieve was by all means utopic.

I created the following artwork within this context, a Utopia where a modern city and scenic landscape create a living and breathing personality.

To complete this work, I first created the background with a layer of acrylics, and then I used my standard office art technique - only this time not on paper but on canvas. 

This work belongs to a friend and collector of my art.
