So many women throughout the ages have been accused of witchcraft. Many have literally burned by being accused of such a thing. In the middle ages - you know, the dark ones, - we lost so much knowledge about natural healing and plants and all of these wonderful things women told each other and practiced all their lives. Those women were powerful and the male doctors trying to make their point, accused them of witchcraft. Somehow letting blood over and over again did not make a person healthy - it sure did make those doctors wealthy. The women who knew how to help were gone and still, we have the consequences in our medical system. We take the drugs instead of first trying the herbs or whatever else might be there to help us. And those drugs have made us as a society sicker and sicker and sicker. Don't get me wrong. I am not a witch who knows all there is to know about healing. Not at all. And there is lots of good in modern medicine. Just saying that by burning the witches we lost so much knowledge that could help all of us now to stay healthier. let's begin with food - but that is boring and a whole other topic and nobody wants to give up their pop tarts and whatever other sugar-laden thingy they like to eat. That just would be too hard to do to control the diabetes even kids suffer from now. Interesting fact. there is a revival in people seeking herbal knowledge - and many of the leading "experts" are men. So all we needed to do all along is to get men into anything we don't take seriously because it's a women's thing and suddenly it becomes legit. OOps, I am still mad it seems. Haven't been freewriting much since I am mostly mad about things... 🤪
