Suspended between the treetops and the ground of a forest in Northern California, this home is made up of a complex of cabins connected by wooden walkways that weave through the trees.

When designing this family home, Envelope Architecture + Design reflected it as if the forest itself was home. Composed of four independent buildings, the house has three bedrooms and a common living-dining room. Mainly made from wood, the structures blend beautifully into the surrounding landscape. When illuminated at night, the light wood interior gives warmth and detaches from the dark outer casing. Generous windows and floor-to-ceiling windows offer homeowners unobstructed views of nature, minimizing the boundary between indoors and outdoors.
