<center>  El 13 de septiembre es una fecha importante para dar a conocer a la poblacion en general conceptos importantes sobre la sepsis, una de las complicaciones con mas riesgo de mortalidad en cualquier grupo etario, sin embargo puede ser tratada con antibioticos pero se requiere de una estrecha vigilancia al paciente, tambien es importante conocer enfermedades de base entre otros antecedentes.  *Diseño creado en @Canva - Design created in @Canva* La sepsis es una respuesta del sistema inmunitario ante una infeccion por patogenos como bacterias, virus, hongos, generando asi un proceso inflamatorio a nivel generalizado afectando los principales organos vitales, es importante tener en cuenta la edad del paciente, patologias de base, sistema inmunologico, antecedentes y habitos como alcoholismo, cafeicos, fumadores.  Se produce por infecciones del tracto urinario, de piel y partes blandas, respiratorias, gastrointestinales, uno de los factores de riesgo principalmente a nivel hospitalario son los cateteres infectados entre ellos cateter periferico y de via central las bacterias pueden entrar al torrente sanguineo, entre otros factores tenemos pacientes diabeticos, con sistema inmune debil, renales, la edad sobre todo en recien nacidos y adulto mayor.  *Diseño creado en @Canva y @Bitmoji. -Design created in @Canva and @Bitmoji.* El paciente con sepsis presenta diferentes manifestaciones sobre todo a nivel neurologico, a nivel hematológico, en cuanto a las constantes vitales ocurre un descenso de la presion arterial la frecuencia cardiaca y respiratoria tambien sufre alteraciones, si bien es cierto con antibioticos de amplio espectro se puede combatir sin embargo en algunos pacientes el riesgo de mortalidad aumenta cuando son inmunosuprimidos.
