The statue of Hercules is a historical monument on the territory of Baile Herculane

Baile Herculane is the oldest resort in Romania documented at the time of the Romans, in the north there is the statue of Hercules, the one from which it was blessed from the beginning this blessed place. This represents Hercules with the skin of Nemia's lion and a mace on his left shoulder. The statue is made of tin cannon in 1847 by German craftsmen Glantz and Romelmayer and donated by the Austrian archduke Carol as a tribute to officers and soldiers of the imperial army who did well after treatment in the resort.
