Instructors call shooting as easy to learn, hard to master. Because of fact, that it's pretty easy to pull the trigger and take a shot. It really doesn't take incredible strength or agility to do it. Because of that many people, who are not familiar with the whole concept of competitive shooting, don't think, that shooters should be considered as athletes.

They usually don't notice, that pulling the trigger and taking a precise shot on the long range are two separate things. You can compare it to soccer - **everyone can kick a ball, but becoming World Champion takes a lot of time, hard work and a lot of sacrifices**.

In **Bullseye** I'll show you basic and advanced shooting training, that you can do at home, on the range or at the gym. **If you want me to write about something, just tell me. I'm eager to help you**

## Safety First!

The most important thing you have to care about during your training is safety. You can say basically anything about guns, but you have to admit, that they can cause serious damage in wrong hands. Every firearm should be handled with care and precautions that will allow you have fun with your favorite gun safely.
As responsible adults, we have to remember that we don't want any additional holes in our body. 

### All these rules apply both to instructors and individual shooters. You are fully responsible for your gun and your safety.

## Gun

First, four rules are most common, and if you are familiar with guns, you probably heard them. Despite that, I can tell from my range experience, that even most experienced shooter forgets about those rules from time to time. 

1. **Always treat a gun as loaded** until instructor will check it. Even then you have to realize, that not everyone on the range knows it, so don't use it to scare anyone.
2. **Always point a gun in safe direction**. Don't point a gun at anything you don't want to destroy.
3. **Mind your surroundings**. Don't shoot to target if you don't know what's behind it. This rule is especially important when you shoot outdoors. 
4. **Put your finger on trigger ONLY if you want to shoot**. That will keep you away from firing gun unintentionally.
5. **Be familiar with manual of gun you shoot**. Every weapon is different. Knowing your gun will help you to use it safely. If you don't know something - ask your instructor.
6. **Alway use reliable ammunition**. Ammunition that is rusted, has damaged casings, primers or bullets should not be used. Also if you have a lot of squib load or hang fires - don't use that kind of ammo. 
7. **Gun is not a toy** and life is not _Die Hard_. Ton play with your guns in the way that may cause accidental discharge or dropping your gun. Don't let yourself to lose control over the firearm.
8. **In case of malfunction or click without bang wait a bit before you will rack a slide**. That could be _hang fire_. Racking slide may cause discharge outside a gun and serious damage.
9. **Don't take other people guns without permission, and don't leave your gun without governance**. You're responsible or your weapon.
10. **Don't shoot drunk**. 'Shots' don't get along with guns.
11. **Report any issues with guns to instructor**

13. **If you see any danger, call CEASE FIRE immediately**.

### Shooting range
1. **ALWAYS Use eye and hearing protection**. Ears and eyes don't grow back
2. **Make sure that you have charged the phone on the range**. In case of emergency, make sure that you can call 911.
3. **Make sure, that instructor knows there first aid kit is** Even when you have your own, he might be the first person that will help you out.
4. **Don't shot at rocks or any hard material from close distance**. 
5. **Always listen to commands of Range Security Officer**. He's responsible for your safety at the range

### Guns at home
1. **Don't have ammo in the same room you practice DRY fire**. That will prevent you from mistakes that may have serious consequences.
3. **Before cleaning make sure that your gun is empty**.
4. **Guns and ammunition keep away from children, and store them in safe place**.
