My dad was filled with so much  joy when I got admitted into university in 2017. We celebrated as one family, soaked in good health and happiness. Regardless, in less than a year, our joy turned to despair that I can never forget. My dad fell seriously ill, requiring immediate medical attention. 

As his condition worsened, the urgency of his recovery led us to sell off his shop to cover the exorbitant medical expenses. With my mother tirelessly sourcing funds, all fingers pointed at me to stay at the hospital with my dad. 

My siblings who understood the stress of doing the caregiving and school insisted I suspended a session which I stubbornly refused. Despite the challenges, I refused to succumb to despair. Balancing school and frequent visits to the hospital tested my resolve, but I persevered, determined not to let my father down.

Thanks to the support of a caring cousin, I managed to navigate the tumultuous waters of my responsibilities. I learned to allocate my time efficiently, ensuring I fulfilled my obligations to both my family and my education. My father's illness taught me the importance of prioritizing responsibilities and the resilience of the human spirit in the face of difficulty.

Seeing my father's gradual recovery filled me with hope and renewed determination. However, just as we began to see the light at the end of the tunnel, tragedy emerged. My father passed away unexpectedly, leaving me with grief and uncertainty about the future. Despite the devastating loss, I refused to let that weigh me down.

With the support of my elder brother, I resolved to continue my studies and pursue my education to make my dad proud, everything I was doing was in memory of him, I wanted him happy wherever he was. However, the financial burden became overwhelming when my elder brother who promised to support me suddenly stopped supporting my studies after paying for a year and a semester.

Determined to persevere, I took on the challenge of balancing my studies with a demanding online job. The relentless workload tested my limits, but I refused to let it derail my academic aspirations. I immersed myself in my studies, devoting every spare moment to understanding the course material.

As exams approached, doubts and fears crept in, but my determination never wavered. I dedicated myself to rigorous study, pushing through exhaustion and distractions to achieve my academic goals. Despite setbacks, including failing a course, I remained steadfast in my resolve to succeed.

The journey taught me great lessons about resilience, perseverance, and the strength of the human spirit. I discovered inner  strength and determination I never knew I possessed, proving to myself that challenges are not barriers but opportunities for growth.

In the end, I graduated with a good result, proof of my resilience and unwavering commitment to overcoming challenges. The experience shaped my life in so many ways, instilling in me a sense of resilience, growth, responsibility and strength that continue to guide me on my journey through life till date.
