<html> <p> </p> <p>A spiderweb or cobweb created by a spider made of protienaceous spider silk which in simple terms is “a protein fibre” the density are of steel and its strength is often compared to high grade alloy steel. These are so ductile that it can stretch five times its size. Due to its strength and ductility webs are really tough. When revealed to water it undergoes super-contraction reduce in size up to fifty percent. </p> <p><br></p> <blockquote> The sticky substance the web is made of requires solvent with high pH which can weaken its bonds.
