Today, they've become a force and top level techno talent in the world of dance music. You see them featured in club nights in Ibiza and on the lineups of festivals like Tomorrowland, EDC, CRSSD, Nocturnal Wonderland, and Electric Zoo. ____________________________________________ This is the second track off Pig & Dan's 2016 album titled "Modular Baptsm" which was released off their own label Elevate. I initially heard <a href='https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OqD2E8NsjJ0'>Growler</a> on a podcast which was their leadoff single. Growler is such a solid, driving techno anthem that it enticed me enough to pick up the whole album by them. None of the other tracks hit me quite as hard as Vangelism. From the onset Pig & Dan lead you in with these peculiar, curious chords, held together by a steady, skipping drum arrangement that makes me want to glide across the ground. Their percussion is quite distinct, I can listen to a song I've never heard and if it sounds a certain way I can always tell it's theirs, or they're the ones doing the remix. __________________________________________________ I love Vangelism so much because all of its elements make it sound more unique and mysterious than your usual dark techno. Pig & Dan have a knack for putting their signature on a track, and it shows here. I haven't had the pleasure of seeing them live, but I'm kicking myself right now because I just found out they were here in Los Angeles LAST FUCKING NIGHT at The Avalon with Julian Jewell and I had no idea!!!
