SID: Sharing internet data with a decentralized internet sharing platform
Yesterday I gave Share Internet Data, SID for short, a look. They created a decentralized internet sharing app which allows you to share mobile and wifi internet.
https://youtu.be/lnG35dRqut0

## The SID app
The SID app is available for android and apple. Not all functions have been implemented yet. The aim is to use tokens to share mobile data and give tokens to users offering their mobile data. This function has not gone live yet. However, if you don't mind you can share your mobile data for free :P . Getting access to wifi networks is free and already functional. Data, wifi-keys etc are of course all encrypted. The team also plans to implement a get-token-for-watching-add service. You receive a very tiny reward for adding new wifi networks to the platform.

## SID token

SID is currently up for an initial token offering. It is valued at about 0.01 Euro cent. So that is not much. There are free SID tokens up for grabs if you don't mind sharing a bit of your privacy i.e. email, telegram accounts and name. But the total tokens you can get doing this is max 15 SIDT. Adding a new wifi network to the platform gives you 2 SIDT.

Note that the tokens still have an extremely low value since it is still in the ITO phase so it might greatly increase when it goes public.

## The fundamentals

From a practical perspective this platform makes a lot of sense. Quite often I am left with lots of unused data at the end of the month. The app will allow you share that data and make some money in the process. So the fundamentals are there. In addition, the team has already been working on this project since the end of 2016. Hence, it is unlikely that it will just vanish in thin air.

As with any token it is important to question why you don't use ordinary currencies. For this project it makes sense to use tokens since there will be a lot of additional fees if they start using the local currencies.

## Final Verdict

Definitely not a scam. It is at least worth it to sign up for an account and get a few SIDTs in the process. It will become really interesting when you can be rewarded for sharing your mobile data. The time line indicates that this will only be implemented in May next year.

## How to sign up?

There are small rewards of about 50 SID you can receive by referring others to this app. So here is my referral link
