Hi Steemians, when  I was doing research in Japan I also had the opportunity to do a lot of travelling. I am not a big fan of big cities but if you are living in a new country you should at least visit the capital.  So I went for a short trip to Tokyo!

Although there are many skyscrapers in Tokyo there is one building which stands out most at night: Tokyo tower. Here is a picture which I shot a while back:

At night it really looks similar to the Eiffel tower. And since the Eiffel tower is a symbol Paris. Tokyo tower has became a symbol of Tokyo. In film/anime it is  frequently used to identify Tokyo. The resemblence  of Tokyo tower to the Eiffel tower is actually less obvious during the day since Tokyo tower is painted in red and white.
