Defensive resistance is an interesting topic, and could certainly be a trap.
Ultimately the state doesn't exist. It's a religious belief, and you don't damage a religion by attacking people. 
Bombing the North pole wouldn't end belief in Santa Claus.
You attack belief systems by pointing out their holes and mocking them. 
If someone accuses you of hypocrisy for not making molotov cocktails; they're criticising you for failing to act like the caricature in their head.
