It is not enough that you are a genius or have thousands of followers on YouTube. The market for audiovisual products, call movies, miniseries, serials for the Internet, multimedia, content for blogs and other websites, is as vast as the Internet itself.

The competition is brutal, like a battle of black ants against fire ants in the Amazon jungle. So if you want to live from this business, if you want your videos for YouTube, or your creative texts for Steemit to be competitive, apart from your muse, your inspiration and your talent, it is good that you know the classic structures of the narrative that have endured and triumphed in the history of humanity, from Homer's Odyssey, to Matrix and Harry Potter.

In essence, all the successful narrative products that I know respond -it is a matter of cultural heritage and taste formation since we are children and somebody read stories to us or put us in front of a television screen- to certain archetypes that even psychologists and anthropologists have detected as almost universal, structures that we have become accustomed to seeing, that we hope to see, and that if they do not appear underlying in the films or novels, condemn the author to failure.

Here I am going to offer you, in a series of posts, some useful tips that I have accumulated during my years as a writer and scriptwriter, so that you can articulate and sell your ideas, your videos and your articles better.

## THE TRIPARTITE STRUCTURE

[Aristotle](http://netnoticias.mx/2016-02-13-8c2830df/aristoteles-uno-de-los-mas-grandes-filosofos/) in Poetics,  was the first to theorize about the dramaturgical structure of epic poems, plays (tragedy and comedy) and who established (actually he detected what was already working in classical Greek literature) the parameters that we follow and still use in our days, from movies like Star Wars, to multi-million-dollar animated films like Intensely or Coco.

Aristotle said that a good play should be divided into three parts: a beginning where the story is presented, the characters, the environment, and which places us in the tragedy or the comedy we are going to see. This works the same for a Steemit post: divide your text into three parts, and in the first, you present or tell the beginning of the story you are going to develop, who the protagonists are, and where the issue is going.

If you have grace and talent, the reader or spectator will be encouraged to follow, will give you what is called "poetic faith" and will embark with you on an adventure that usually begins with phrases like "Once upon a time a Hobbit who lived happy in a small town ... " or " Alicia was walking through the woods, saw a rabbit running, and chased it. "

In the first part you will present the conflicts that constitute your history, the antagonists, the good, the bad, the origin of the conspiracy that you are unveiling, etc. All this must generate action, agon (combat, in Greek), because if there is no conflict, if there is no truly dramatic content that catches the attention of the viewer or reader, he will change the channel immediately.

In the second part, the characters travel, learn, fight, pursue objectives. It is the natural development of what you have raised in the first part: The Hobbit followed Gandalf and agreed to take the ring to fruition, Neo swallowed the red pill and got into the Matrix. That will generate great problems, great adventures, which are what will catch the viewer or the reader.

It works not only for movies and miniseries: it's also valid for your articles. In the second part, you have to expose your sources, your ideas, the reasons why you think the steem coin is going to collapse or is going to rise, and in a manner consistent with what you have shown in the first part.

This is going to take you to a climax, to a big scene, to a great battle, to a great declaration of love that everyone anxiously waits for, to start the zombie hunt, or whatever you're writing .

After the battles, the exhibition of ideas, the contrast if it is an opinion article, in short, AFTER THE CLIMAX, then comes the outcome.

The actions, the battles, have consequences. The soulless Maddoff has broken half financial system and has ruined the lives of thousands of families, Michael Corleone can no longer be the same good boy at the beginning, because he has already become the successor of his father, the new Godfather.

This is called conclusion, outcome. It is the natural culmination of the battles, the movements, the feelings of the characters, or the behaviors and activities that for example you want to review in your post for your steemit blog.

Notice that this does not tell you what you have to write, what is good, what is bad, what is successful, what is a sure failure.

They are simple structural recommendations, that have thousands of years of tradition, and that people are accustomed to enjoy.

They become as simple as a capresa salad recipe.

Sure, but there are those who consider themselves geniuses, and although they do not know this simple tripartite structture, they want to invent the lukewarm water.

My recommendation is that you learn to handle these basic structures, of tradition, and that after you are a teacher in them, you launch yourself into the adventure of innovating and changing the history of cinema, based on your talent and genius as a storyteller, filmmaker, screenwriter.

From now on, we will develop other classic elements of the tripartite structure of Aristotle, and other topics that can contribute to your genius being consolidated with these parameters of the so called international script model.
