I try to watch every Town Hall on the day it is released, but sometimes life gets in the way and I miss out on some lucrative opportunities. In today’s meeting there was one golden nugget that I overlooked and it was only until Matt mentioned it that I went and looked at the opportunity.  I believe The opportunity is still here but not as lucrative as in the past. Let’s look at PP per bcx and relative prices.

When land 1.5 rolls out the important statistic players will look at on the cards will likely be the PP number. The higher production points the more valuable the card will be in land 1.5. Well with that being said would it be wise to buy cards based on PP? That is what Matt mentioned in the middle of todays Town Hall.

He mention in passing that the Chaos rewards were a steal as prices drop due to potential use in land 1.5. The lower the cost of the card the better PP per $ it would be. Take a deeper dive it’s worth noting rarity set cards maybe even more lucrative. 

Give for instance a max legendary rewards card in chaos series the max PP is 1500.  One can purchase such a card for close to $5. The next set is the Untamed rewards cards we’re currently the cheapest is Spirit Druid Grog which cost close to $30 for 3000 pp. Close to six times the difference in price for only double the amount of pp. Then in beta rewards the cheapest is about $90 for 7500 pp. 

The lucrative part here is that legacy cards are great purchases for higher pp values. The increased pp are much rarer to come by with limited supply and higher multi when used in land 1.5.

Five monsters per a land and assuming we get 5 max chaos legendaries rewards it comes out to be 7500. That all costs around $25. To increase PP one needs to invest in older reward cards. Assume we get 5 max untamed legendaries rewards the result comes out as 15,000. That all would cost close to $450! The cost to double from 15k to 30k pp with alpha / beta would be even greater.

Matt snuck in the comment as quickly as it came out of his mouth. No further discussions were made on the potential of investing in cards for land 1.5.  Yet here we are with an opportunity to prepare better for land 1.5. Are you buying Splinterlands cards in anticipation of land 1.5?
