__OLOTAYAN__ *Olotayan Island is an island of legend. The name is a combination of olo (“head”) and “tyan” (stomach), as a Capiz legend tells of a cruel giant whose body the anitos (gods) struck with lightning, scattering his body parts all over the sea. Nearer to Roxas’ shore is Mantalinga Island – reportedly the giant’s “mata” (eyes) and “talinga” (ears). Olotayan Island is the only island barangay of Capiz* I can still remember those good old days, In which we're living only in a nipa hut (bahay kubo), sometimes we are lacking of food but still manage to survive by planting vegetables and fruits in the backyard. My father is a farmer and my mother is a housewife, for short we don't have a monthly source of income. Sometimes we trade some of our harvest to have a fish/dried fish/meat in our meal. We don't have those high tech gadgets , we only have those softdrinks tanzan, dried palay straw and garter to play with.. Despite of all difficulties and shortage of everything, We are still Happy and thankful with what we have.. Because of poverty, I left my hometown when I was ten years old, I left my family when I was ten years old. I never realize how much I like being Home, until I've been somewhere that was really different. Wasn't sure If I really miss my hometown or my cousins, friends,my family,my Childhood. aaaaaaaaaahhhhh 14years!!! I feel so tired .. I hope to go back to my province first before going to somewhere else again.. Thankyou for reading #Steemians :)
