Hi all, greetings!

Here is my new digital art. 
Today, I tried making a still life drawing and this time, I opted for a modest background work.

I placed three object on top each other on a foam which served as my floor - a stainless spoon and two breakable plates. 

I started with outline sketches of the objects before using a combination of hatching, crossing hatching and a few scribbles to add shades. 
After that, I proceeded to using blurring to add more shades and create shadows on the background. This added depth to the work. 

From the piece, you could notice that light was coming from the left side and creating shadow on the right side.


The sketch was done with AutoDesk sketchbook application and aided with an S-pen. My steps can be seen below:
