Snow is wonderful to look at, it’s white and glimmers as the sunlight bounces off of it. In other words it looks aesthetically wonderful but there is no escaping the fact that those who will be treading through these snow lands will have to experience extreme cold, freezing wet conditions and general discomfort when carrying out a snowy hike around the mountains. 


It was time to pack some of the most essential things that would see me through my journey up and around the snowy mountains. Some of these things I already had around the house from my other trips but there was a little more involved. Of course attire would be at the forefront of preparation as dressing for the occasion had never been so relevant.
